2022 Distinguished Leadership Award Recipient
George T. Elmore, Founder, Hardrives, Inc.
We are pleased to present the Distinguished Leadership Award to Mr. George T. Elmore. Mr. Elmore has founded his company Hardrives, Inc. in 1953 in Delray Beach. For over 45 years, wherever he found an opportunity, he led and served on numerous boards, promoting community and planting many seeds in Palm Beach County. He’s never forgotten his mother’s passion for education, and so he’s spent so much of his time committed to educational organizations, such as Scripps Research Institute, Palm Beach Atlantic University and other universities throughout South Florida. He endowed an annual scholarship to be presented at the Scholastic Achievement Foundation of Palm Beach County, Inc which will be presented to a deserving student this evening.
His many other philanthropic endeavors have supported civic and cultural organizations including the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Bethesda Hospital, WPBT Channel 2, Community Foundation of Palm Beach & Martin County and the Gulf Stream Council of Boy Scouts.
Mr. Elmore continues to be a great supporter of the Scholastic Achievement Foundation of Palm Beach County. We are forever grateful of his generosity and passion for excellence.
