Evelyn Nelson has been on the board for over 9 years. She is the Executive Director of Student Financial Services and has been assisting students at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, for 35 years. She has served in her current role for over 17 years, and was formerly director of financial aid for 15 years. She says her favorite aspect of working with students is helping them realize their educational goals through academic advising, financial aid packaging and payment options. Ms. Nelson has held virtually every leadership position in her state organization, FASFAA, including President. She has served on various advisory boards related to high school achievement and college prep as well as creating financial aid resources for students. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Eckerd College and a Master’s in Education from Lynn University. Ms. Nelson is married with two children and one grandchild. She enjoys reading, attending sporting events and spending time with her family. A native of Connecticut, she resides in Wellington.
